Luther College graduating senior Madeline Lomprey received the college’s Elizabeth A. and Paul G. Jenson Medal for the class of 2021.

Luther College professors and students are sharing their findings about flooding and encouraging community conversation in Freeport during a community meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at Freeport Park. The meeting is intended to facilitate a conversation among Freeport community members on how to create a community that is resilient to future flooding.

Luther College junior Morgan Kranz of Sauk Centre, Minnesota, spent January Term 2019 as an intern in human resources at Knox Company in Phoenix, Arizona.

Luther sophomore Conner Kujak of Chaska, Minnesota spent January Term 2019 shadowing five dentists at Dental Association and West Side Dental of Decorah.

Luther College junior Ozvaldo Suarez of Dos Palos, California, spent January Term 2019 working as a translator for Xpedition Archery in Decorah, Iowa.

Luther College senior James Conway of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, spent January Term 2019 shadowing at Gundersen Health Clinic in Decorah, Iowa.

Luther College junior Cole Jensen of West Des Moines, Iowa spent January Term of 2019 helping customers to familiarize themselves with technology at Shottenkirk Chevrolet in Waukee, Iowa.

Luther College junior Kristen Hansen and sophomore Piper Wood have been selected as Peace Scholars for the 2018-19 academic year. The pair will spend six weeks studying peace and dialogue in Lillehammer and Oslo, Norway.

Learning about professionalism and team dynamics, Luther junior Wilson Sibandze interned over the summer at Ernst & Young in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ernst & Young, a multinational professional services firm headquartered in London, England, United Kingdom, is one of the “Big Four” accounting firms. The company’s purpose is to build a better working world through providing “insights and quality services” and build “trust and confidence in the capital markets and in economies.”

Luther College junior Christine Wattermann spent the summer interning at Find Your Power, a non-profit company based in Minneapolis aimed at empowering women.
