What About Standardized Tests?

Standardized test scores are not required. Learn more about our test-optional policy.

  • If you plan to submit test scores, check if they are included on your transcript. If not, they can be sent by your high school guidance counselor, or you can self-report by sending an unofficial copy or documentation of your composite ACT or SAT scores with all corresponding subscores and test dates.

You are eligible for academic merit-based scholarships regardless of whether or not you choose to submit a test score.

What Is the Deadline for Applying?

Luther admits students on a rolling weekly basis beginning in early October, and will do so each week until the class is full. Acceptance notifications will be sent within 7–10 days after receiving your completed application.

What Happens Next?

Once we’ve received your application (including your essay, transcript, optional test scores and educator’s reference), your file is complete. You can expect to hear from us within 7–10 days.

If you are accepted and decide to attend Luther, we require a $300 non-refundable enrollment deposit to hold your spot in the following year’s class. Your deposit is due by May 1.
