When Can I Audition?
- For Herseth auditions, follow all the steps outlined on the Herseth Scholarship Auditions page. The process and timeline for a Herseth audition is different than any other music scholarship audition.
- For Noble and/or Composition auditions, you may choose one of the following:
- An individual weekday visit to campus (October 1, 2025 – April 11, 2026).
- AÂ group visit event when auditions are offered (beginning with Christmas at Luther Showcase Day, December 4, 2025).
- During a Dorian Festival event.
- In-person auditions are strongly encouraged, but virtual auditions may be requested when necessary.
- Video recordings are required.
- Once video selections are received, you will be contacted to set up an individual meeting if necessary.
- Recording suggestions:
- Check audition requirements before recording.
- Upload files (ex. YouTube) and share video links when requested, making certain permissions are adjusted so files are accessible to anyone at Luther.
- Professional recordings are not required; please record in a quiet space where you and your instrument (bowing when applicable) can be seen clearly.
