Saturday, August 31
Students received complete information about the move-in process via email. A note for student-athletes in fall sports: Some of you will have an earlier move-in date; that information was also sent to you in July.
Saturday, August 24–Friday, August 30
The Endeavor Together program brings together a small cohort of incoming first-year students in order to share in fellowship and adventure while building community and preparing for college life.
August 26 – 30, 2024
We welcome new international and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) students participating in the Center for Intercultural Engagement and Support Orientation (CIES) Orientation Program taking place Aug. 25-30, 2024. The CIES Orientation Program serves as a precursor to Welcome Week designed to ensure that our international and BIPOC students feel welcomed, valued, and empowered from day one at Luther College.
Saturday, August 31–Saturday, September 7
Welcome Week is designed to help first-year and transfer students make a successful transition into the Luther community. During this orientation experience, you will:
- Learn more about Luther and the college’s academic and community expectations
- Interact in meaningful ways with other new students, faculty, and staff
- Gain tools and knowledge to help students be successful
- Build a community that will support, respect and protect one another

September 20-22, 2024
Family Weekend is an ideal time for families to experience Luther College and to explore Decorah. We invite every family to let your student be your host as we gather as a community both on campus and in the surrounding area.
At your ROAD Virtual Registration and Advising session, you will meet your first-year academic advisor. Along with the Registrar’s Office, your advisor will assist you in choosing and registering for your fall semester courses.

If you’re coming by car, search for “Luther College” in your favorite map app. During the academic year, you may use Luther’s shuttle service to and from the Minneapolis airport. Tickets are available from Luther’s ticket office.
