Applications

We recommend you apply early for priority financial aid consideration. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as long as there is space in the class.

Application: Opens August 1


Application Reviews

Once we’ve received your application and transcript, your file is complete. Your admission counselor and the director of admissions will review your application thoroughly, including any supplemental materials (such as a written statement and educator references), within 7-10 days.

Status Updates Begin: September 15.


Admission Decisions

The moment you’ve been waiting for! Luther mails admission decisions along with offers of merit scholarships.

Admission Decisions Mailed: two weeks after your file is complete


Financial Aid

Financial aid has multiple components, including both merit scholarships and need-based grants and awards. A key to qualifying for need-based awards is filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. The earlier you file, the sooner you will have your full financial aid package.

FAFSA Filing Period: October–March


Financial Aid Award Reviews

Luther works hard to make sure you can access any financial aid for which you qualify. Our financial aid office will follow up if we haven’t received your FAFSA or any other required information.

Financial Aid Award Offers

Luther sends financial aid award packages that detail your merit awards and need-based awards to make your education affordable.

Financial Aid Offers Mailed: Beginning in December


Decide and Deposit

Once you decide to attend Luther, secure your place with a $300 non-refundable enrollment deposit.

Decision Deadline: May 1 (National College Decision Day)
