Luther College invites community members to attend Dream Week events held Jan. 20–24.

The Impact Awards provide free tuition for up to four years to students who have a 3.5 grade point average and whose families have an adjusted gross income of $80,000 or less.

Founded more than 25 years ago, Imani Winds have led both a revolution and evolution of the wind quintet through their vibrant performances, bold programming and imaginative collaborations.

Every day in the Luther Cafeteria, potential food waste is diverted to make rich compost to replenish the land, and prepared food that was not served is repackaged to serve food insecure people in Decorah and surrounding areas. Luther College is proud to announce the 2024-25 Center Stage Series, which annually presents outstanding performances to uplift, inspire and expand your world. Season tickets are available now for six exciting performances by international artists.

Two Luther students received $10,000 grants for innovative community-centered projects. 

Luther College will host Master Zhongxian Wu, a Chinese martial artist, calligrapher, and musician, from April 9–28. During his time on campus, he will lead workshops that are open to the Decorah community. 

Luther College’s Center for Ethics and Public Engagement (The CEPE) will celebrate the 25th anniversary of David Lynch’s “The Straight Story,” with a free screening and discussion with one of the film’s stars in early April. The film is based on the true story of Alvin Straight of Laurens, Iowa, who rode his lawn mower tractor across the state and part of Wisconsin to reunite with his estranged brother. 

Gnome is where the heart is for Luther College’s Giving Day, which  returns for its ninth year on Thursday, March 7. The annual event aims to celebrate the Luther community while raising  money for the Luther Fund, Luther’s unrestricted current fund that supports all students, faculty, staff and community endeavors on campus

Luther College will host a Green Dot Bystander Intervention Workshop from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, in Peace Dining Room on the second floor of Dahl Centennial Union. The workshop is open to all Decorah area community members to learn strategies for preventing interpersonal violence in the community.
