Each year Luther College honors members of the President’s Council and Legacy Trust with a special weekend campus event in the spring. Last year's 2020 annual donor-recognition event—which had been scheduled for Saturday, May 9—was cancelled in March due to the COVID-19 health pandemic. This year's 2021 donor-recognition event was held virtually via Zoom on Thursday, May 6. In addition to recognizing members of President's Council and Legacy Trust, this year's event included recognition of members of Heritage Club, the college's organization for donors who have made planned gifts.
In a typical year, President’s Council and Legacy Trust members are acknowledged during special on-campus events: the Legacy Trust Scholarship luncheon—which connects scholarship donors with scholarship recipients—and the President’s Council dinner, which gives special recognition to new life members of President’s Council, and to those current life members who have advanced to a new level of giving.
At this year's donor-recognition event held via Zoom, President Jenifer Ward's remarks included thanks and appreciation for all President’s Council, Legacy Trust, and Heritage Club members and an overview of the four themes guiding her vision for Luther. In addition, recorded messages from Legacy Trust Scholarship student-recipients were shared, which you can view using the links on this page.
With deep gratitude, we acknowledge the generosity of Luther's President's Council and Legacy Trust Scholarship donors and invite you to view the President's Council Honor Roll and list of Legacy Trust Scholarship donors.
