Luther College Counseling Service core values:

  • Collaboration
  • Understanding
  • Well-being

We operate with a Stepped Care Model.  The Counseling Service provides:

  • Confidential individual and group counseling related to personal issues
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Referral to off campus providers for more intensive, longer term, or more specialized treatment
  • Consultation with faculty, staff, parents, and friends who are concerned about a student
  • Education and training with residence hall staff and many other campus groups

Services are provided to any currently enrolled student at no additional charge. Students must complete intake information and a screening in-person at the office to collaboratively determine appropriate step of care for the student's goals. Any personal concern is appropriate to bring to Counseling.
