Information Regarding Hiring For 2026-2027 Academic Year
We are so excited that you are interested in applying to be an RA! Please start by reading this information.
- You are encouraged to attend one information session to learn about the position before applying. If you cannot attend a session, please email Kris Franzen at frankr03@luther.edu.

- Applications for New RAs must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. You just need to click the ”Apply to be an RA” Button at the bottom of this page.
- Applications for AHDs (Assistant Hall Directors) and Returning RAs must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13. You will receive an application to complete via email from the Residence Life office.
- Please request references from two people, preferably one current RA and one Luther faculty/staff member. If you feel strongly that someone else can better attest to your skills and abilities, it is okay to have them fill out the form instead. The reference form link is at the bottom of this page. References are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6.
- For new RAs, if you fill out the application in full, meet our minimum qualifications, and we receive both reference forms by Friday, March 6, we will contact you to set up a time for the group interview process that will take place on Sunday, March 9. The second part of the interview process includes individual interviews that will take place the week of March 10. We hope to conclude our search process before spring break.
