Multimedia Requests

The Digital Media Center is the service point for multimedia requests for event, production, and/or technical support.

Event support requests require five (5) working days notice when possible due to finite resources and time for setup. Attempts will be made to accommodate last minute requests or changes, but cannot be guaranteed. In most cases, Multimedia staff will be available for setup and tear-down of on-campus events contingent upon their availability. Support may be limited during busier times of the year.

Please direct all requests and questions to our Multimedia Email and our team will respond. The multimedia team supports the Luther community’s questions when using the multimedia lab and multimedia studio, requests for media conversion from one format to another, video creation and editing requests, issues related to technology in classrooms and meeting spaces, video conferencing requests, recordings of lectures, and video streaming of high-profile events on campus such as opening convocations and commencement.

The Digital Media Center contains equipment for supporting the creation of audio and video productions. In addition to equipment within the Digital Media Center, we also have equipment available for checkout to the Luther community through the Circulation Desk in the library, including:

  • Digital Cameras
  • Laptops
  • LCD projectors
  • Projection Screens
  • Microphones
  • Webcams
  • A wide variety of other classroom and production equipment.

A few times a week the Digital Media Center houses academic classes which fully utilize the equipment. During this time, the multimedia service point moves to the walk-up desk outside the Digital Media Center.
