Luther College hosts author of “The Violence Project: How to Stop a Mass Shooting Epidemic”

Jillian Peterson will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, in the CFL Recital Hall.

Brooks will present “Hearing the Unheard: How Historical Fiction Works” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24.

Organized by the Center for Ethics and Public Engagement (CEPE), the central theme is “9/11 and the Ethics of Memory.”

The author will speak about her New York Times bestseller “The Vanishing Half.”

Luther College will celebrate Climate Justice Week, April 18–24, with a lineup of events focused on social equity in our changing climate.

U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst is hosting a town hall meeting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 in Valders Hall of Science Room 206 on the Luther College campus.

Luther alumnus Chris Norton is returning to Decorah to speak about his new book, “The Seven Longest Yards.”

Luther College will host the second annual Dorian Choral Retreat for adults from June 28 through June 30, 2019.

Luther College will celebrate Commencement at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 26, in Carlson Stadium, where President Paula Carlson will confer the Bachelor of Arts degree on Luther’s class of 2019. Luther alumna Vanessa (Grima Baldacchino) Frazier, Maltese ambassador and humanitarian, will receive an honorary degree and give the Commencement address.

Luther College will hold a “Pitch Off” competition featuring finalists for the 2019 Erdman Prize for Entrepreneurship  at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, in Marty’s on the ground floor of the Dahl Centennial Union.
