You will learn from the staff what it takes to get better and have the edge over your opponents on the mat! All wrestlers have different needs with improving technique. This camp will focus on a variety of wrestling techniques. You will only get better by attending this type of camp.
The camp will be heavy with instruction and technique, so you will be very active during camp. Counselors will be current Luther wrestlers mixed with other college wrestlers. The camp includes daily instruction, supervised drilling, unique techniques, lifting, training sessions, wrestling warm up sessions, several hours of daily mat time and a lot of match experience! All of these combined will give your wrestling a winning edge.

Each day will consist of 4 to 5 hours of technique, instruction, drilling and training. Each session will be followed by a question-and-answer period and ending with technique session review where campers will be expected to take notes. We will also get into the weight room for 3 days of lifting, learning and instruction. There will also be training sessions in Gerdin Field House and various spaces on the Luther College Campus.
For challenge matches, wrestlers will be matched according to age and ability level.
There is a limited enrollment so each camper will have an ideal camper-to -clinician ratio (approximately 10:1) and receive plenty of individual instruction.
You will wrestle with individuals from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. In previous camps we have had wrestlers attend from across the country including the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, California, Louisiana, Missouri, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Ohio and Texas.
