Luther College offers an excellent benefit package including expansive paid time off for staff; competitive health insurance premiums; generous retirement contribution; free short- and long-term disability insurance; employer-paid life insurance; tuition benefits for employee, spouse and dependents; access to campus resources; and a number of fringe benefits.

2026 Open EnrollmentÂ
The 2026 Employee Benefits Guide summarizes the updated employee benefit options that will begin January 1st, 2026.
Dates: Thursday, October 30th through Friday, November 14th
Benefit-eligible faculty and staff may enroll in benefits via Norse Hub. See here for step-by-step instructions to make eligible elections including:
- Enroll in, drop, or make changes to health or dental insurance coverage (move from one plan to another, drop or add dependents, etc)
- Update your 2026 Health Savings Account contribution elections (can be updated during the year)
- Make 2026 Flexible Spending Account contribution elections (cannot be updated during the year)
- Add or increase voluntary life insurance coverage, subject to evidence of insurability (must visit HR office to update)
