The Decorah Community School District issued a public letter on Nov. 3 thanking Luther College athletic teams and staff for their ongoing support of our area students.

With more than 2,000 study away programs available, Luther College opens unlimited possibilities and new, rare experiences to students. To make study away opportunities more feasible the Luther College Center for Global Learning and Center for Sustainable Communities hosted the Sophomore Study Away Scholarship Giveaway.

On Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 Dr. Jenifer K. Ward was inaugurated as the 11th President of Luther College. The Center for Faith and Life was filled with President Ward's family, friends, current and former colleagues, Luther students, alumni, Luther faculty and staff, elected representatives and Decorah residents.

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, Kevin Hines will present "#BeHereTomorrow" in the Main Gym of Regents Center at Luther College. It is open to the public with no charge for admission.

John T. Cord, associate professor of trumpet, released an impressive, collaborative, album titled "Beyond Borders." This work represents Cord's dedication to the diversity and versatility of music representing 300 years of music history.

Luther College will present the 2019 production of "Christmas at Luther" Dec. 5–8 in the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther College campus. Tickets are now available for the 38th season of the Emmy award-winning performances.

Come experience the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall on the Luther College campus.

Luther College is among a collection of prestigious ensembles to perform "The Notebooks of Leonard da Vinci" at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall. The concert is open to the public with no charge for admission.

Celebrate the inauguration of Luther President Jenifer K. Ward. Friday evening, Nov. 1, downtown shops, restaurants and venues will be open for all to enjoy and special entertainment is planned for the "Inaugural Night on the Town."

A new resource for faculty is now available at Luther College. The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) promotes student success by dedicating space and resources to Luther faculty for the cultivation of teaching practices.
