In the spirit of Beloved community, we: Welcome everyone. Work for justice. Walk with students in their journey of faith and learning.
“What made working with College Ministries a unique and delightful experience for me, is the recognition of all people as a people of God. As an ethnic minority and non-Lutheran Christian, it meant a lot to me, and people of other minor groups, to serve in an environment where the gospel of inclusion is not only preached but also practiced.”

College Ministries at Luther College tells the story of God's active presence in the world through worship, outreach, service, and building relationships of spiritual formation.
College Ministries welcomes everyone, regardless of their religious commitments. We walk with students in their journey of faith and learning through accompaniment, both personally and through meaningful program offerings. We work on behalf of the common good by getting involved in justice issues through advocacy both on and off campus.
You are invited to connect with Pastor Melissa Bills for faith conversations, spiritual care, or just to get acquainted.
College Ministries enriches Luther's partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America by serving as a link between the Luther community and congregations, pastors, youth directors, synods, and ELCA organizations. Learn more about Luther as a College of the Church.
Responding to God's reconciling work, the Luther College Student Congregation is a Reconciling in Christ Congregation (RIC), affirming our welcome to people of all sexual orientations and identities to participate fully in our ministry. The student congregation joined the RIC roster in 1995. “Welcome one another therefore, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” Romans 15:7
The Reconciling in Christ program is a ministry of ReconcilingWorks: Lutherans for Full Participation. Since 1974, ReconcilingWorks has advocated for the full welcome, inclusion, and equity of LGBTQIA+ Lutherans in all aspects of the life of their Church, congregations, and community.
