The Loyalty Hall network has been upgraded. A new building router has been installed. The new router has a 20Gig connection to the rest of the network, the old router had a 1Gig connection to the rest of the network. In addition the wireless in Loyalty has been upgraded with new 802.11ac access points.
LIS is now accepting applications for the position of Public Services Specialist on our User Services and Circulation teams. The Public Services Specialist will provide circulation services on Saturdays and some weekday hours. Roof work began Tuesday, May 26, at Preus Library. Please honor the barricades that are set up in and around the library and parking lot to protect you, your car and the workers involved. The front door of the library remains open throughout the work, though the approach to the front door may vary.
To help faculty prepare for the new version of KATIE, the KATIE Support Team will be hosting faculty workshops in May and August and will offer additional training in August and September. Additional details will be posted in DeaNotes, Tuesday, and the LIS blog.
Preus Library’s annual National Library Week book sale will be held Monday-Friday, April 13-17. More than a thousand deaccessioned and donated hardcover and paperback books will be available. Prices start on Monday at $5/hardcover, $2/paperback, and decline daily.
Luther's library catalog, Worldcat Local, will be unavailable starting Friday, January 2, at 11 pm, through Saturday, January 3, at 2 pm. for scheduled system maintenance
The Luther Library Catalog (http://luther.worldcat.org) service was restored around 11AM, Tues, Dec. 2, following an outage affecting our vendor, OCLC.
