Feb. 4, 2010

Luther College will host “Energy Idle,” a concert to kick-off the college’s energy competition month, Saturday, Feb. 6, at 9 p.m. in Marty’s in Dahl Centennial Union.

The Decorah-area community is invited to join Luther’s Environmental Concerns Organization and Luther College Sustainability for an evening of fun, entertainment and information about the energy competition. The concert is open to the public with no charge for admission.

Several talented Luther students and groups will be performing, including a cappella groups, soloists, bands and more. In addition to the entertainment, student planners will promote the weekly themes, talk about the month’s events and give helpful tips on how to reduce energy consumption.

Concert-goers can also participate in trivia-challenges for opportunities to win prizes. ECO will also sell recycled notebooks at the event.
