Hangzhou, China (Zhejiang University)

Enrollment limit: 2-3 Luther students

Students on the Hangzhou Program reside at the Yuquan campus of Zhejiang University and typically take their meals at the university dining room or nearby restaurants. Students study Chinese language, culture, and civilization from Zhejiang University professors. Additional course options have included religion and economics.

Eligibility: Second-semester sophomores, juniors, seniors; minimum 2.75 GPA; no previous study of Chinese language required.

Financial aid: Students should refer to the Financial Aid Office for information on financial aid eligibility. Students who receive Pell Grants as a portion of their financial aid package are also eligible to apply for a federal Gilman Scholarship (competitive). Students with a strong academic background may also apply for the Boren Scholarship. Please note: the application for the Boren Scholarship is due by mid-January.
