Students must have successfully completed a minimum of four semesters of study prior to the start of the program and 60 credits or more with a GPA of 2.5 or above. Students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing. In addition to submitting the application materials, students will interview with the Rochester Semester Director. Eligible applicants should have completed coursework beyond what is introductory within the major and demonstrate a strong interest in an immersive internship experience. Participation in the program is contingent upon securing an internship from an external provider. Every effort will be made to develop an internship; however, it is possible that external circumstances beyond the control of Luther College could impact availability.
Space in this program is limited. Applications and further information for both Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 Rochester Semesters will be available beginning October 1, 2021 on the Center for Global Learning website. In order to secure immersion opportunities of the highest quality and closely related to student interests, the priority and final deadlines to apply are as follows:
Applications are still welcome after the priority deadlines but these should be submitted as soon as possible given that acceptance into the program will be contingent on the ability to develop internships in the student's area of interest.
