Speaker: Mark A. Magnuson ’75, the Louise B. McGavock Professor of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics, Medicine, and Cell and Developmental Biology at Vanderbilt University
Dr. Magnuson is the McGavock Professor of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics, Medicine, and Cell and Developmental Biology at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Magnuson graduated from Luther College in 1975 and obtained his medical degree from the University of Iowa in 1979. He then did a residency in Internal Medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester before going to the National Institutes of Health for research training. He moved to Vanderbilt where he obtained additional research training in Molecular Physiology and clinical training in Endocrinology. His research has been funded by the NIH for over 25 years.
