Luther College Head Men’s Soccer Coach

  • Entering 12th year as head coach
  • Garcia-Prats has led Luther to a 73-22-10 overall record in the last five seasons including 2 Iowa Conference Championships, 2 NCAA National Tournament appearances, and 2 NSCAA top 25 National Rankings
  • 2011 Iowa Conference Coach of the Year & NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year
  • 2002 graduate of Trinity University
  • Prior to Luther, he served as the assistant men’s soccer coach and recruiting coordinator at Trinity University. During this stretch Trinity University made six NCAA Tournament appearances and three semifinal appearances, winning the national championship in 2003, and finishing second in 2007
Hollie Gray III
Head Women’s Soccer Coach/Assistant Director of Compliance

  • Named head coach of women’s soccer Feb. 25, 2021
  • 2015 Graduate of Luther College
  • Returned to Luther after serving three years as the assistant coach for the Boys U19 soccer team at Shattuck-St. Mary’s School in Faribault, Minnesota, where he played his high school career from 2008-11.
  • While at Luther, he made 56 appearances that included 53 starts as a defender and was named all-conference and third team All-North Region
  • He helped lead the Norse to a three year record of 41-15-4, a conference championship in 2013 and a NCAA III National Tournament appearance that same year
  • Following his playing days at Luther, Gray III was an assistant coach for the men’s soccer team for three years
Josh Galvin
Assistant Coach

  • Named top assistant on July 16, 2020
  • He was a part-time assistant during the 2019 season
  • 2016 graduate of Luther College
  • B.A. in Business Management
  • Played four years for the Norse and made 54 appearances that included 23 starts
  • He was Luther’s Offensive MVP – 2015
  • Joined the Norse staff after serving as a graduate assistant and interim head coach at UW-Platteville from August 2018 until June 2019
  • He has also coached club soccer for Elite S.C. in Chicago and for the Saint Paul Blackhawks Soccer Club
Julie Trytten
Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach

  • 2000 Graduate of Luther College
  • Begins 17th year as an assistant coach
  • Four-year letter winner for the Norse
  • Also serves as Decorah High School Boys Co-head Coach in the spring
  • Also serves as the Coordinator of Campus News
