Luther College junior Phuong-Anh Hoang spent her summer at Deloitte Vietnam as a tax intern. The company Deloitte is one of the “Big Four” accounting organizations and the leading professional service network in the world and Deloitte Vietnam, was recently named by “HR Asia Magazine” as one of the best companies to work for in Asia.
Luther College junior Michael Winkler was presented the 2018 Hemp Family Prize, at Luther’s Homecoming concert, Sunday, Oct. 28. The Hemp Family Prize was one of four awards announced during the concert.
Luther College senior Brenna Sherman of Rochester, Minnesota, is Luther’s 2018 Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award recipient.

For her summer research project, Luther College senior Katrina Meyer of Mount Prospect, Illinois, created historically based role-playing simulations in order to stimulate and to engage students in the learning of modern languages.

Discussing the connection between personal and social transformation, David Loy, professor, writer and teacher of Japanese Sanbo Zen Buddhism, will present his lecture “Transforming Self, Transforming World: Buddhism and Social Justice” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 in Valders Hall of Science, Room 206 on the Luther campus.

Working at the Sojourner shelter in Minnetonka, Minnesota, Luther senior Elena Dooley, spent her summer collaborating with volunteers and supporting victims of domestic abuse.
