Luther College has awarded Cynthia Kamikazi the Young Alumni Award recipient for 2018. The Young Alumni Award recognizes Luther alumni who have graduated in the past 15 years who have rendered notable services to their profession and society in their vocation or avocation.

Luther College students Samuel Camacho, Joy Hundorf and Elayna Kiehne have each received a Karen Julesberg Scholarship for the 2019-20 academic year.

Luther College’s Janet Irankunda of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, received the college’s Jenson Medal during the Commencement ceremonies for the Luther class of 2019.

Luther College junior Anne Wilson of Zumbrota, Minnesota, is the 2019 recipient of the $1,250 Lucille Stansberry Rosholt Award for Distinction in Accompanying and Collaborative Keyboard Performance.

Luther College senior Joram Mutenge was announced the winner of the Erdman Prize for Entrepreneurship after “Pitch Off” competition Friday, May 10, in Marty’s, located in Luther’s Dahl Centennial Union.

The Luther College 2019-20 Center Stage Series will present 10 unforgettable acts as well as two school productions: a variety of comedic, musical and thought provoking acts, including artists from across the world and close to home.

Luther College professor of religion, Guy Nave, has been selected from a national pool of nominees to participate in a week-long faculty seminar on the teaching of interfaith understanding. The seminar will take place June 16-20 at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.

Luther College will celebrate Commencement at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 26, in Carlson Stadium, where President Paula Carlson will confer the Bachelor of Arts degree on Luther’s class of 2019. Luther alumna Vanessa (Grima Baldacchino) Frazier, Maltese ambassador and humanitarian, will receive an honorary degree and give the Commencement address.

Luther College will hold a “Pitch Off” competition featuring finalists for the 2019 Erdman Prize for Entrepreneurship  at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, in Marty’s on the ground floor of the Dahl Centennial Union.
