Local candidates running in the November election will be available to respond to questions at a local candidate forum 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, in Valders Hall of Science Room 206, on the Luther College campus.

The event is open to the public with no charge for admission. It is sponsored by the American Association of University Women, Luther College Social Work Program, Luther College Political Science Department and the Luther College Center for Ethics and Public Engagement.

Audience members can write down questions for the candidates, and moderators will ask the candidates the audience-generated questions.

Candidates running for the Iowa House Districts 55 and 51, U.S. House District 1, and Winneshiek County Board of Supervisors and Recorder have been invited.
