As the Luther College Endowment approaches $200 million, the college is now incorporating ESG considerations into its investment approach.Â

Luther College graduate, Joseph Keeley ’20, has moved up from an alternate Fulbright award winner to a finalist.

Luther College held commencement ceremonies for the class of 2019 at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 26, in Luther’s Carlson Stadium.

Luther College’s spring 2019 Dean’s List includes 703 students; 73 first-years, 154 sophomores, 152 juniors and 324 seniors. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and must complete at least 12 credit hours with 10 hours of conventional grades (A, B, C, D).

The Luther College 2019-20 Center Stage Series will present 10 unforgettable acts as well as two school productions: a variety of comedic, musical and thought provoking acts, including artists from across the world and close to home.

Luther College will hold a “Pitch Off” competition featuring finalists for the 2019 Erdman Prize for Entrepreneurship  at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, in Marty’s on the ground floor of the Dahl Centennial Union.

Five Luther College students have each received a $1,000 Steven Mark Anderson Scholarship for the 2019-20 academic year. Recipients of the scholarship were announced during the Luther College TRIO Celebration Banquet on April 10. Recipients include Emmy Buntrock, Taehjona Hodges, Julia Lieb, Viola Niyizigama and Grace Weinrich.
The Steven Mark Anderson Scholarship benefits Luther students involved in the TRIO Achievement Program. TRIO provides “holistic, individualized support and comprehensive programming that promotes students’ academic success, personal development and sense of community.” The federally funded program has been sponsored by Luther for over 45 years and serves approximately 185 students annually.

Iowa Public Radio will broadcast Luther College’s spring 2018 production of Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 27,  and at 11 p.m. Sunday, April 28. The opera broadcast is part of Iowa Public Radio’s program “Arias in April,” which highlights performances of opera productions from around the state of Iowa.
