Taking advantage of the network downtime that was already planned during today's power outage, we've upgraded the building router of the CFA. Jenson's building router was upgraded earlier this spring. With today's upgrade the connection from Jenson to CFA has increased in speed from 2Gig to 20Gig and the connection from CFA to our network core router has increased from 1Gig to 20Gig. Koren and Campus House are also served by the CFA building router and will also benefit from the increased speed.

If you use a Windows computer and print to the Miller, Ylvisaker, Olson, Larsen, or Preus Library lower floor printer, you need to install this new print driver in order to stay secure. Download and run the driver installer—it takes less than a minute. If you need assistance, visit the Technology Help Desk in Preus Library.

The wireless network in the CFA was upgraded this past summer. The upgraded network features 802.11AC (Wifi 5) support in all areas and 802.11AX (Wifi 6)support in high usage areas. The coverage density has also been increased. Wifi Coverage in the building now includes the theatre and surrounding areas. This upgrade will result in stronger coverage and faster speed throughout the building.
