Luther College’s sixth annual One Team Day is Thursday, Nov. 20.
Supported by the Williams Endowment Fund, the day begins with Curry’s address at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall.
“We are thrilled to have the Lorelei Ensemble performing Christopher Cerrone’s ‘Beaufort Scales,’ which earned a Grammy nomination in 2025,” said Susan Potvin, director of programming and outreach.
The Center for Ethics and Public Engagement will host a panel discussion and a community conversation.Â
University of Arizona Anthropology Professor Marcela Vásquez-León will discuss her experience mentoring Indigenous and Afro-descendent women at a lecture on Nov. 4.
“Receiving [the Weston Noble Award] inspires me to keep improving my service to Luther College and to the world,” said Juan Tony Guzmán, director of the jazz program and professor of music at Luther College. “I was close to Mr. Noble since I came to the United States in 1988. Like many others, I benefited from his wisdom, generosity, kindness and humor.”
This year’s theme is “Fling Wide the Door!”
“Their music is playful, intricate and joyous. The OK Factor and Jaerv will have you tapping your feet and smiling in your seats,” said Susan Potvin, director of programming and outreach.
A keynote lecture exploring the intersections between the queer and disability communities will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
This year’s recipients are Allan Solomonson ’60, Linda (Olson) Bieri ’75, Michael Goze ’75, Perran Wetzel ’79 and Loretta Dooley Wetzel ’80, Esther Menn ’80, Erika (Barth) Cottrell ’95 and Ryan Nilsestuen ’05.
