The top ranked team in the nation and defending national champions, Nebraska Wesleyan University, defeated Luther 90-66 this afternoon in the Regents Center.
The Prairie Wolves shot 51.4 % and were led by Clay Reimers who produced a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds.
Ray Whitlock led the Norse attack with 14 points. David Shindelar, came off the bench in the final three minutes of the game and knocked down three treys, finishing as the second leading scorer with nine points. Garrian Wade and James Kappus were next with eight each.
The Norse made 12-of-39 three-point attempts and in the process set a new single season school record. Their 12 treys gave them 270 for the year, breaking the old mark of 263 set during the 2013-14 campaign.
Luther's season comes to an end with a league mark of 1-15, 7-17 overall. NWU improved to 15-1 in conference action, 24-1 overall.
