Luther 3, St. Scholastica 1
Luther traveled to Arden Hills, Minn., for the two-day Bethel University Tournament. Luther's first match was a 3-1 victory over St. Scholastica. The Norse won sets one and two by finals of 25-20, 27-25. The Saints won set three 25-17 and Luther secured the match victory with a 25-9 win in set four.
Anna Larson led the Norse with 18 kills. Larson had just three attack errors en route to an attack percentage of .405. She also posted a double-double recording 11 digs.
Emma Veum also reached double digit kill totals with 13. Katie Shabatura was credited with eight and Paige Yontz had seven.
Sam Sixta led the team with 26 assists, while Emily Rinken led the squad with 16 digs.
Luther wraps up today's first action with a match against UW-Stout at 7:00 p.m.
UW-Stout 3, Luther 0
UW-Stout swept Luther 3-0 in tonight's second match of the Bethel University Tournament. Set scores were 25-21, 25-17, 25-20.
The Blue Devils, behind the efforts of Amber Ripley and Kennedy Strain, posted an attack percentage of .283. Ripley led all attackers with 17 kills, while Strain was credited with 15.
Emma Veum led the Norse attack with eight kills. She was followed by Anna Larson and Karissa Kime both with six.
The loss drops Luther's overall record to 7-5. UW-Stout improved to 5-4.
Luther begins play tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. when it will face host Bethel University. Then at 1:00 p.m. the Norse will square off against the Oles of St. Olaf College.

Bethel University 3, Luther 0
Host Bethel University swept Luther 3-0 in today's first of two matches of the Bethel University Tournament. The Royals controlled the net producing 10 total blocks and holding the Norse to an attack percentage of .017. Set scores were 25-11, 25-23 and 25-16.
Anna Larson was the lone Norse to reach double digits in kill totals with 11. Emma Veum and Karissa Kime were next with six. Sam Sixta dished out 16 assists and Grace Meyers was credited with 11.
Larson also recorded her second consecutive double-double as she was credited with 11 digs. Emily Rinken led the team in this category with 15.
The loss gives Luther an overall record of 7-6. Bethel improves to 10-2.
Luther wraps up today's competition against St. Olaf College at 1:00 p.m.
St. Olaf 3, Luther 0
In the final match of the two-day Bethel University Tournament, Luther was swept by St. Olaf College 3-0. Set scores were 25-16, 25-22 and 28-26. The loss was the third in a row for the Norse who are now 7-7 overall. St. Olaf improved to 11-1.
Sam Sixta dished out 22 assists. Anna Larson and Emma Veum paced the Norse with 11 kills each. Paige Yontz with next with six. Veum also led the Norse at the net as she was credited with four total blocks.
St. Olaf was led by the trio of Lauren Rewers (13), Megan Grimes (12) and Morgan Marxer (10). Grimes tallied an attack percentage of .409, while Marxer's percentage was .444.
Luther returns to American Rivers Conference play at home on Tuesday, Sept. 18. The Norse will host the Storm of Simpson College at 7:30 p.m.
