Luther lost a hard fought 5-4 decision to Kalamazoo College (MI) this morning in Orlando, Florida. After jumping out to a 3-0 lead after doubles, Luther posted just one victory in singles.

In doubles, Jackie Cychosz and Anna Pearson won at No. 1 (8-6). Devon Bourget and Kelsey Kruse won at No. 2 (8-4). Ellie Hemker and Britta Pressler won at No. 3 (8-4).

Bourget was the lone Norse to post a victory in singles. Bourget defeated Helen Pelak in straight sets (6-4, 6-2).

The loss drops Luther's overall record to 9-6, while Kalamazoo improved to 4-6. 

Luther's final match during its spring trip to Orlando will take place March 28 when it will face Loyola New Orleans. Start time is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. EST.
