The 2018 Iowa Conference Championships are complete. Today's fourth and final round played at Prairie Links Golf Course, Waverly, Iowa, saw four teams post team scores below 300.
Nebraska Wesleyan University won the team title and earned the league's automatic berth to the NCAA III National Tournament. The Prairie Wolves shot 293 this afternoon and finished with a four-round total of 1198.
Central College finished second at 1204 and Luther was third at 1218. The University of Dubuque was fourth at 1220. The Dutch shot 299 this afternoon, while Luther and Dubuque shot 295 and 293 respectively.
Individually, Joe Fewer became the fourth golfer in Luther history to earn all-conference (top-10) three times. Fewer finsihed in a four-way tie for fourth place with a 72-hole total of (72-75-79-74-300). Tanner Randall of Wartburg College was the tournament medalist by 10 strokes shot 285. Christian Hall of NWU was runner-up at 295.
Rounding out the Norse five and where they finished included Bryce Pierce (19th - 80-76-75-77-308), Spencer Horst (T20th - 76-77-78-78-309), Ben Grotnes (T27th - 83-78-80-71-312) and JP Knutson (30th - 86-82-74-73-315).
