Thanksgiving break

Whether you are staying on campus or heading home for break, SAC has planned a range of activities for everyone!

Monday, Nov. 23 & Tuesday, Nov. 24 (all day) - Books for Break at Preus Library - Grab a free packet of popcorn or hot cocoa when you pick up a book or movie to enjoy over Thanksgiving break! Items must be reserved in advance. Please visit the library blog for more information.

Monday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. - Netflix watch party! (Now known as Teleparty) - Stop by the Student Activities Office on Monday afternoon to receive a free bag of movie watching goodies as well as your "ticket" with instructions on how to join in the watch party. The movie links and more information will be posted to SAC Facebook and Instagram pages on Monday, Nov. 23. Students on campus and at home are welcome to join in!

Tuesday, Nov. 24 (all day) - Geocaching - A limited amount of GPS equipment will be available in the Rec. Services Office until 4 p.m. or you may download the free geochaching app on your mobile device!

Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. - "Yappy" Hour! - Faculty, staff, and students are invited to bring their pets for this virtual "yappy" hour! Join us via Zoom for a "paws-itivily" fun time! Click here to join via Zoom.

Wednesday, Nov. 25 (all day) - Fleece tie blanket kits - Available all day on Wednesday in the Student Org. Suite in the Union. Pick up a kit to make your very own fleece tie blanket and receive a packet of hot cider!

Wednesday, Nov. 25 - Holiday Lights at Decorah Campground - Make your reservations here for an opportunity to ride through the Decorah Campground Holiday Lights display! Questions? email: [email protected].

Thursday, Nov. 26 - Happy Thanksgiving! - Get cozy (maybe with your new fleece blanket and hot cider) while you tune in to watch the traditional Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade at nbc.com/live  from 9 a.m. - noon. Grab your Thanksgiving meal at the Caf or make your reservations for dinner at The Landing Market.

Friday, Nov. 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. - Virtual Pictionary - Use a virtual whiteboard to play this classic game via Zoom! Pre-register here.

Shopping Shuttle - the shopping shuttle will be available for local shopping trips. Please contact [email protected] to make a reservation.

Happening all week - Create holiday cards for local retirement home residents, grab 'n go coloring kits, Thanksgiving bingo challenge-all supplies found in the Student Organization Suite (Dahl Centennial Union, 102).
