Prepare for Daryl Davis's visit during Hope over Hate Week by watching his documentary, "Accidental Courtesy". Davis, a black musician, befriends members of the KKK and other white supremacists in search of the answer to his question: "How can you hate me if you don't even know me?" Over the years he's collected robes and other artifacts from friends who have left the Klan, building a collection piece by piece, story by story, and person by person, as a testimony to what knowledge and respectful personal communication can accomplish.
Prof. Novian Whitsitt will lead a discussion following the showing.
