Silent Film with Live Organ Accompaniment: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Guest artist Dr. Matthew Gender accompanies a showing of the 1920 silent film, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde starring John Barrymore in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall. The score to the classic film will be entirely improvised on the 49-stop Sipe pipe organ. Dr. Gender is the Director of Worship Arts at Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minnesota and has taken prizes in the National Competition for Organ Improvisation (2016) and the University of Michigan Organ Improvisation Competition (2017). The program is free to the public, and costumes are welcomed and encouraged!
