CELT: Creating Podcast and Digital Media Assignments for Any Course (C. Vrtis, J. Raabe)

Podcasts and other digital media assignments give students opportunities to explore course content and demonstrate their learning in creative and multimedia formats. In this workshop, we will explore and discuss podcast assignments used by faculty across campus and cover assignment creation, structure and assessment. While this workshop will focus primarily on podcast assignments, we will also spend a short time discussing other digital media assignments that utilize Google Slides, Voicethread, Padlet and Flip.

Halfway through the workshop, participants will head over to the Digital Media Center in Preus Library, where Jay Raabe will give us a tour of the DMC, highlighting the tools available to faculty and students for podcast and other digital media assignments. Participants will leave with assignment ideas, templates and resources to develop their own podcast and digital media assignments.
