'Who Do You Trust?' dance performance

Who do you trust and why do you trust them? Luther College's Visual and Performing Arts department explores these questions through dance in their production of "Who Do You Trust?" Nov. 17-19 in the Jewel Theatre in Luther's Center for the Arts. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, and 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19.

Luther to host Bryn and Kyryliuk

The documentary, "Reunion - 10 Years After the War" will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, in the F.W. Olin Building Room 102 on the Luther campus. Following the showing of the documentary, Bryn and Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue associate officer Anatolii Kyryliuk will lead a discussion on peacemaking in the modern world. Four Luther College seniors were selected to present research at the 2016 Iowa Music Educators Association Conference to be held Nov. 17-19 at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. All four students are majoring in music with a concentration in K-12 music education.

Robert and Victoria Christman will give a lecture reflecting on their experience titled, "Europa Afflicta: Personal Observations on the Mood in Europe" at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, in the Shirley Baker Commons on the Luther campus. The lecture is part of the fall meeting of the Seven Rivers Fulbright Association and is open to the public with no charge for admission.

American Legion

American Legion of Iowa Foundation grant

Luther College received a grant of $2,000 from the American Legion of Iowa Foundation in support of scholarships for veterans. The American Legion Iowa Foundation scholarships help address the growing need for support of veterans currently serving or returning from recent service. Since the founding of the college in 1861, more than 1,500 Luther students, faculty, staff and alumni have served with distinction in the U.S. Military, U.S. Reserve and National Guard units.
