J-term Opera Scenes

Luther College presents J-term opera scenes

This January, several Luther College first-year students are taking advantage of an opportunity to get a small peek into the world of opera. Students auditioned to have a role in the 2017 January Term opera scenes performance and will be immersed in the art form for the entirety of J-term. The course culminates in a performance at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music-Noble Recital Hall.

Caf to Community

Luther's Cafeteria to Community program celebrates three-year anniversary

On Nov. 17, Luther College hosted a partnership lunch to celebrate the successes of the Cafeteria to Community program with representatives from Decorah's First Lutheran Church Food Pantry, Luther College Dining Services and Luther's Center for Sustainable Communities.  Over the past three years, more than 30,000 pounds of food have been packaged and shared with Northeast Iowans through this program.
