Luther accepts $1 million gift for Kent Finanger Endowed Chair

A Luther College alumna who was a member of the first women's cross country team and her husband have provided a gift of $1 million to establish the Kent Finanger Endowed Chair for Women's Cross Country and Track and Field. The alumna shared the reason surrounding the couple's decision to create the Finanger Chair, "As a student and runner, I thrived under Coach Kent's leadership. The immense respect I have for him and his nurturing abilities have unequivocally impacted my life."

Interfaith activist Regina Mustafa to speak on Luther campus

Deepening the interfaith dialogue on Luther's campus, Regina Mustafa, an interfaith activist from Minnesota, will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the Recital Hall of the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther campus.  Mustafa will describe her recent experience running for Congress and her work bridging the gap between religions, specifically addressing the challenges of Muslim women in interfaith activism.
