POSTPONED: Faculty Artist Series: 'A Celebration of Britten, Verdi and Wagner in Opera and Song' collaborative recital moved to April 5

The Luther College voice faculty will present a collaborative recital in honor of composers Benjamin Britten, Giuseppe Verdi, Richard Wagner and at 7 p.m. Friday, April 5, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music.

The recital is open to the public with no charge for admission.

The program, titled "A Celebration of Britten, Verdi and Wagner in Opera and Song," will include opera scenes from "Falstaff," "Rigoletto," "La Traviata," "Il Trovatore," "Die Walk├╝re" and "The Rape of Lucretia," as well as several arias and chamber works.

Singing in the program are voice faculty members: Edwin Andereck, tenor; Eric Ashcraft, tenor; Kristin Hightower, soprano; Karen Kanakis, soprano; Jacob Lassetter, baritone; Gary Moss, baritone; Beth Ray Westlund, mezzo soprano; Jonathon Struve, baritone; Kylie Toomer, soprano; Andrew Wannigman, baritone; Rachel Ware, soprano; and Andrew Whitfield, baritone. Jessica Paul will serve as pianist for the entire program; music faculty members Benjamin Yates and Michael Smith, trombone, and Rebecca Boehm Shaffer, horn, will also be featured.
