Wayne Tudor to head Luther dining services

Wayne A. Tudor has been named general manager of Dining Services at Luther College by the Sodexo corporation.

Tudor assumed his duties at Luther June 3. He will oversee the college’s 50-employee food preparation and serving operations in the Luther Cafeteria, Oneota Market, Marty’s Cyber Café, Sunnyside Coffee Shop, and Catering.

Tudor succeeds Donna Bauck as the college’s food service director.

The Sodexo corporation operates the college’s food services.

Prior to accepting the position at Luther, Tudor served as Sodexo’s general manager of food services at Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield in Des Moines since 2001.

Tudor serves as an executive committee member of Iowans Fit for Life and is a member of the Cardio-vascular Task Force for Iowa. He has also served as chairman of the board of the Central Iowa Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.

During his career in food service Tudor developed, owned and managed three different restaurants in Nashua, Des Moines and Adel, Iowa.

Tudor worked several years in law enforcement in Iowa and seven years in real estate as vice president–general manager of Chamberlain, Kirk and Cline in Des Moines. He has also taught real estate and finance in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and Nebraska.

Tudor was born in Charles City and grew up on the family farm north of Osage, Iowa. He attended school at Osage, Waverly and the University of Northern Iowa.
