BSU presents talent show to benefit Haiti through Doctors Without Borders Feb. 27

Luther College’s Black Student Union will host the annual BSU Talent Show on Saturday, Feb. 27, in the Center for Faith and Life main hall. All proceeds from the show will benefit the victims of the recent disaster in Haiti.

Doors open at 7 p.m.; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The show will feature vocal and instrumental music, dance, comedy and other entertainment talents of the Luther community.

Tickets are $3, available at the Luther Box Office, telephone (563) 387-1357, open Monday-Friday, 9-10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; extended hours Thursdays: open until 7 p.m. Tickets are also available online at as well as at the door the night of the show. 

During the show, a presentation on the history and current situation in Haiti following the earthquake will clarify the need for funding for Haiti victims.

All proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders, who were able to respond to the earthquake immediately and remain in Haiti to provide essential support to families who have lost everything.

T-shirt sales as well as an opportunity to donate directly to Doctors Without Borders will be available during the show, to increase the financial gift BSU will give to Doctors Without Borders.
