Luther alumna Barbara Fuller will present Biology Colloquium lecture April 25

As a part of Luther College’s Spring 2019 Biology Colloquium series, Barbara Fuller, Luther class of 1973, will present her lecture, “A Calling to Serve,” at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Valders Hall of Science Room 206 on the Luther campus.

The lecture is open to the public with no charge for admission.

Part of the events planned to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Black Student Union at Luther College, Fuller will discuss the path that guided her to her career, as well as some of the aspects of her specialty and how it impacts the care and survival of individuals affected by malignant disorders.

Fuller is a board certified hematologist-oncologist and practices in northwest Indiana in a private multidisciplinary oncology group practice, Northwest Oncology. A 1976 graduate of Rush Medical College, Fuller continued her residency and fellowship training at Rush. Since graduation, she has maintained a life of service in her capacity as a physician, has volunteered for a number of community-based organizations and has served on the Luther College Board of Regents.
