Getting Permission

If you have determined that you need to get permission for use of a particular work, copyright permissions can generally be obtained from the Copyright Clearance Center. You will need to register and create an account with the site and specify a billing contact. Luther College does not have a campus license agreement with the Copyright Clearance Center. All works should be individually licensed.

If looking to obtain permissions for the creation of a coursepack, the Book Shop can assist you.

If a particular work is not available for license via the Copyright Clearance Center, generally you should contact the publisher of the work. Links to additional licensing agencies and resources which may be appropriate in select cases are also listed below:
