Biography
Joelle Nielsen (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. She joined Luther College Counseling Service in February of 2019. Joelle’s approach to counseling tends to be client-centered and solution-focused. She is passionate about building strong relationships with students and helping them navigate difficult times and mental health concerns in a safe and nonjudgmental space. Outside of work, Joelle enjoys spending time with her husband, three kids, and dog Maggie. She is currently in the process of training Maggie to be a therapy dog.
