Alejandra was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and immigrated to the United States as a child. She lived most of her life in Miami and received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Florida International University. Between Spring 2020 and Spring 2022, she worked at Luther College’s Center for Academic Enrichment and assisted the Associated Dean of Student Success and Coordinator of Disability Services.

Alejandra is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Student Academic Administration at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. At the CIES Office, her work focuses on assisting international students in their adjustment to college life in the United States. She serves as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and maintains the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVIS) records of nonimmigrant students in F visa categories.

Alejandra is passionate about increasing the representation of Black, Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), and particularly Latina women in higher education.
