CANCELED Poetry Reading: Athena Kildegaard

Athena Kildegaard is a poet, librettist, environmentalist writer, teacher, and director of the honors program at the University of Minnesota, Morris.

Her new book, Prairie Midden, is a rich and complex celebration of and lamentation for the prairie, and an evocation of some of the recent history of human-prairie interaction.

Athena will meet with classes Friday, and be joined by David Faldet–another writer and poet attentive to local ecosystems– for a reading on Friday evening at 7pm in the CFL Recital Hall, with a reception and book-signing to follow.
