History Faculty Presentation: Contested Histories of Portuguese Conservation Policies in Mozambique, 1920-1975

This presentation by Richard Mtisi examines the mischaracterization of Portugal’s wildlife policies, the main factors contributing to the creation of game policies in colonial Mozambique, and how those policies affected local systems of knowledge related to wild animals.
