Dr. Docan-Morgan will share highlights from her book, In Reunion: Transnational Korean Adoptees and the Communication of Family. Specifically, she will discuss how qualitative interviews with Korean adoptees who have reunited with their birth families reveal complexities in adoptees’ negotiations, family, and individual identity. The talk will appeal to anyone who is adopted, knows someone who is adopted, or is interested in conversations of how we define family, culture, and self.
