“And, Action”: James Cada and Susanne Egli on The Arts, Social Trust, and The Common Good

Join James Cada and Susanne Egli as they visit Luther College to celebrate David Lynch’s The Straight Story, 25 Years Later, and to share their perspectives on the roles artists and the arts play in building the common good. James Cada played Danny Rioridan in The Straight Story and has an extensive performance resume that includes the Guthrie Theater and a range of voice acting roles. Susanne Egli is an Associate Professor at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and has an extensive performance resume that spans theater work in New York City and the Twin Cities. Together, Susanne and James have an ongoing directing relationship with Minnetonka High School, one of the premiere theatre programs in Minnesota. This promises to be an inspiring evening of reflections and insights on being artists who are Midwest grounded and globally connected as well as consideration of the recent SAG-AFTRA strike and the future of acting.
