About

Aime Rovelo is an Assistant Professor of Political Science in American Politics. She earned her PhD in Political Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia and her B.A. in Political Science at Baylor University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of representation, elections, policy, and law. She has published her most recent article, “Why Does Corrective Information Have a Muted Effect on Immigration Attitudes? Motivated Reasoning and Shifting Goalposts,” in American Politics Research. Aime joined Luther College in August 2024 and has taught several American Politics courses. She has also taught Research Methods for Social Sciences and served as the Faculty Advisor for Luther College Mock Trial.
