Commencement 2025

Luther College 2025 Commencement | Sunday, May 25 at 9 a.m. | Carlson Stadium

You are cordially invited to Commencement 2025! We are incredibly proud of our graduates’ accomplishments and the dedication they have demonstrated throughout their academic journey. Your unwavering support has played a vital role in their success, and we are honored to share this momentous occasion with you.

Please join us in celebrating this milestone at Luther College Commencement on Sunday, May 25, starting at 9 a.m. in Carlson Stadium. The information below provides further details for your planning purposes. Note that plans are subject to change; please consult this web page and stay attuned to further communications.

Commencement Details

Graduates should plan to attend the Grad Finale on April 9 and 10 in the Dahl Centennial Union lobby to confirm their program names, pick up caps and gowns, and more. Graduates unable to attend may have a friend pick up their cap and gown.

After the Grad Finale, caps and gowns may be picked up at the Luther College Book Shop.

Commencement and Baccalaureate will be livestreamed on this web page. On campus, the Commencement livestream will be shown in the Dahl Centennial Union at Oneota Market (main level) and Marty’s (lower level). Other locations on campus will be added as needed.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall. Tickets will be required to attend in this location. Parents and families are asked to reserve up to four tickets in advance, starting February 25, as part of their registration for Commencement. If you have additional family members in attendance, they will be able to watch the ceremony from livestream locations on campus. The livestream will also be accessible for remote viewing on this web page.

If the decision is made for an indoor ceremony, the college will inform faculty, staff, and students of the change via the #LutherAlert system. Families and the general public can find the information on this web page and on official Luther College social media.

At the Commencement ceremony, guests with mobility challenges and their families may sit on the Carlson Stadium track. There will also be a limited number of alternative seats for persons with mobility challenges and their families on the Dahl Centennial Union terrace. Contact the Ticket Office at (563) 387-1357 for more information.

If a guest is in need of sign language services, contact the Programming and Outreach Office at (563) 387-1538 in advance.
